  1. I am trying to decide what Multi-System, DVD Player to Buy. Picture Quality is VERY IMPORTANT to me, as is being able to lay the most number of different formats. I have sort of been zeroing in the JVC XV-NA70BK. It's not cheap, it's affordable, but I'd hate to pay more for a system than I have to. I'm looking at a Region Free Unit .... the XV-NA70BK is a hardware/firmware update, not done with the remote. Any drawbacks to NOT getting a system that sets Region Free with the Remote. Also is the 12Bit decoder actually look any better than the 10bit?
Any opinions on this unit? Any other that I should look into? Thanks.

  6. I bought the Toshiba 4900 off of eBay about 2 months and have been very happy with it. It plays my DVDs from Europe flawlessly and has progressive scan output. I messed around with cheaper models before and they all seemed to have some kind of problems, whether with DTS or anamorphic video. I've bene trully amazed by this unit. It doesn't seem to be a remote hack either since I never have to enter any codes in. Here's a direct link to the guy I bought it from (great seller, courtious, and quick shipping):
