All authoring programs create bad audio synch after compile video_ts!!! help!!! mpg's are are dvd compliant with respect to audio being 48k ac3, 384bitrate. they are captures from wintv usb pvr2 and audio is in synch, then they are trimmed/cut using mpeg video wizard (womble products in general) and the resulting mpg's also have audio in synch. then i author/compile using dvd-lab or tmpegnc dvd author or ulead dvd workshop2 or dvd maestro...all end up with audio getting more and more out of synch as movie progresses. any help greatly appreciated. also, demuxed mpg and imported elementary streams into maestro same problem, also used maestro "audio synch" tool to synch timecode exactly to video...still came out with bad synch! any help appreciated...

  2. I have the same problem as you, used the same tools you have and ended up with the same results. I started a thread in the newbie/general forums for my specific setup but if you keep trolling the boards you will find lots and lots of people with our same problem.

I have found some useful stickies in the capturing forum and I am now in the process of trying to capture in .avi format then burning the disc without editing to see if I end up with the same results.

The most frustrating part of this whole process is that each time you try something new it takes quite a bit of time and it's very disappointing when you keep getting the same results.

Get the latest release of VideoReDo to edit your MPEG-2 files, and viola! No more sync issues.

(I can say this because I had these same problems, and this prog fixed it.)

You can also use Womble MPEG Video Wizard to do the same.
