DVDrip to xvid (like all hack group)

I have dvd which I want to convert to xvid.

I am looking after good way for converting it including ac3 sound

Do you know in what way ALLiANCE,DMT and etc. (hack group) convert the dvd movies to xvid ?

(because I want to do it in the best way and in the best quality like the hacking groups)

No, actually DVD BACKUP is not allowed per USA LAW. Find the statute that proves it wrong, but current FAIR USE practices do NOT include backing up your own DVD's.

What igoldman is talking about is clearly warez-related. He gets an "unofficial" warning (no yellow card), yet proceeds to act like an ass towards the kindness that was extended.

Why not simply ask "What are the best quality settings for Xvid/Divx/Mpeg for xxMegs?" Why ask, "I want to do Divx like the warez groups (so I can share with the world), how do I do it?" It just seems inane to go to a legitimate site to discuss warez when there are literally hundreds (conservative) of warez sites from which to choose.

<grin> I gave him the answer. And then he should search for the guides and do trial and error.

A couple of weeks ago, I was bored, and I backed up LOTR: ROTK to 1800 mb, 1600, 1400, 1200 and 700 mb. As a *backup* that I would routinely let my nieces watch when they come over to my house, they would be satisfied at 1200 mb. I was happy at 1800 mb.


To igoldman; you pays your money and takes your chances. A little bit of thought and you would realize that piracy is a very touchy issue here. No one wants to get this site shut down. However, I have given you what I use to backup my DVDs and it does turn out nicely.
