I am getting a 200 gb computer with the newest amd and I just wanted to know if I should just watch divx on my computer or will it look better if I convert it to vcd and burn it and watch it on my stand alone dvd players. Thanks again all.

I'll avoid the obvious question of "what would you prefer?" Oh wait, I just said it.
#include <mytwocents.h>
Bottom line (IMO) -- every conversion that the vid goes through will lose some quality. It will definitely look better on your computer (unless your monitor -really- sucks) so if quality is important to you, I'd stick to computer viewing. If, on the other hand, you intend to kick back with pizza, friends and other distractions, you can probably live with the quality loss from converting to VCD. OR, go out and rent the original DVD that the divx was probably ripped from ...

ok lemme clarify something
This is based on a technical basis, not a visible basis
Technicaly, it is true, the more times you encode something, the crappier it gets. Well, encoding something twice isnt really noticeable, ok.
Espscially if u dl my template and fully understand the guide well.
Thats why tmpgenc has filters, so you can increase picture quality using right settings cuz we all know vcd and svcd used to make blocks until i came in town
