I am having trouble following guides to author a DVD with subtitles. The guides I have found assume the use of ripped subtitles from an existing DVD.
I have made it as far as creating a working SubRIP (.srt) file but don't know where I'm going wrong when using srt2sup and ifoedit. Whatever I try Power DVD displays no subtitles.
Has anyone got a solution?

i would instead author with dvd-lab pro or dvdauthorgui(very basic authoring). they both supports srt subs.
or use an all-in-one converter/authoring like the filmmachine or diko or dvd2svcd. -
Thank you, excellent!
I have tried using dvdauthorgui and found it to take 0% messing for 99% excellent results.
My only question now is why the subtitles are very jagged, is there anything that can be done or should I put up with it?
