This guy takes the cake.
Okay I have a DVD that I have created and been selling in Ebay for the last 7 months, I only post 1 at a time so I dont flood the market. So the auction ends the other day and I send the Invoice to them and Post another auction. Less than 24hours later the same guy buys that auction using buy it now. So I email him asking if he really wants 2 copies or if hes confused about how ebay works. He responds by saying he cant pay using paypal and then (get this) Gives me his complete credit card number w/ security code (on back of card) and the exp date!!asking me to just charge it?!?! What is this guy thinking??? And besides asking me to charge it he is also trying to pay the wrong amounts and he never even told me if he wanted both auctions. I hate wasting my time w/ people like this.

Is it an illegal dvd? Could be a sting.More copies, more evidence. Maybe tempting you to use the credit card nefariously.

Not illegal, he is a confused mess and doesnt know what he is doing. Yes I could go on a shopping spree but will retain my morals and not.Originally Posted by Dr.Gee

I wouldn't do it! It's probably stolen. If he gets you to do it, guess who the FBI will be coming after!

GuestGuestProbably not,I once got my amex # jacked and a bunch of shit was charged to it. I called the electronics company and asked where it was sent to.I told them what had happened and then they didnt think they should give me the address.WTF? I bought the shit ,right? I finally got it. When I called AMEX they didnt even want it. They just wrote it off. I don't think they make vendors responsible for bogus purchases with valid, stolen #sOriginally Posted by thayne

Government can't. It wasn't necessarily the vendors fault. I say if the guy is serious, use the credit card information through PayPal. He doesn't have to have an account. He just need to enter the information and send it through. Unless you actually have a credit card processing system, it does no good to you anyway (unless you felt like doing something illegal). I state in my auctions that credit card payments MUST be done through PayPal. otherwise it's regular Paypal transfer or Money order. Item won't ship until I have cleared funds.
