Hey, i am fairly new 2 this and need some help plz!
I converted an avi film 2 mpg 1 using tmpgenc and it converted fine and then i used nero 2 burn it as a vcd and it burned fine. i then went 2 play it on my dvd player that has played vcd's b4 and it didnt work. i then put it in my computer and i went through the cd and all the files n subfolders that it showed would have in nero were there? Does this mean i burned it right but my dvd player only plays certain cd-r? Or are there any other programs that are good to burn vcd's?
    Thanx 4 ur help!

Use VCDEasy to author. It's the best. You can still use nero to burn the VCD image that is the output from VCDEasy.

Since you have said you are new to this. In Nero Wizard, you must select create Video Disk. Drag & drop your video clips into Nero. Nero will scan you clips. It will accept your clip if the scan is OK. Then you start to burn.

thanx 4 ur replies, i did use the wizard and vcd setting 2 burn the mpg and did drag n drop it. when using vcd easy doesnt it turn the file into a bin? i think i tried that aswell and it just did the same. If i can see all the files when i put it in the computer does it mean i did it right? n that is might be my standalone dvd player that maybe the problem?

yes, that's correct. Then you burn the bin, either with VCDEasy itself, or with Nero or any other app that knows how to write a bin.
