I've been using the same make of blank DVDs for ages now and never had a problem until today ,its my last 4 DVDs and they didn't want to work and (MEDIUM ERROR ) kept coming up.
I then went on to choose 2xDVD burning speed in toast6 and it worked fine but does that mean i have to burn all my DVDs in 2x now instead of best or 4x.
I don't understand what went wrong.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks scott.

More information would be helpful. What kind, brand/media code, of DVDs are you using? What brand/model number DVD burner do you have?

PRINCO is a pretty cheap crappy media type - just to say they worked before and dont now can be a flaw in teh spindle you have such that a segment is defective disks

my only recommendation would be to get a better brand - more reliable ones

In that case, can you give me a site to a place you can buy from?
Basically anything but PRINCO - they are the most inexpensive manufactured disks i can think of!

My favorites are TDK [which there is aparently 4x disks now], Ritek, Vertabim and Samsung

Thats about all I have really used
