    Why are my Xvid AVI files pausing when playing? The videos play for a few moments, pauses, plays, pauses. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    tried install latest xvid codec?
    tried install/uninstall latest ffdshow?

    There may be a problem with the files iteslef. Have you scanned it for errors ?

    also, what speed is your CPU? playing Xvid files requires a moderately fast CPU. my dad's old computer played the files choppy like that
