ok this is what i did.
i used isobuster to extract two mpegs out of two separate svcd's. then i merged them with tmpgenc (v2.521) . then i used tmpgenc dvd author to author them on a dvd and it said that the GOP is too long but if it is xdvd format to just ignore that so i did. but then when i go to output the file to dvd files, it says that the resolution is 480 x 576 and that it cannot be used for standard dvd.
what should i do? should i resize it? how would i do it anyways?
or should i use another authoring program that would allow it. i tried to use ulead movie factory but i dont like it too much because it takes forever and its only the trial.
whats the best thing to do here? im still being introduced to new generation video editing/dvd making so please bear with me.![]()

SVCD video is not DVD compliant, you can either burn it to DVD and hope that it works on your player (for some it does) or re-encode it to a valid resolution like 352x576. Lots of guides right here.
