  1. Hi,
    using a Panasonic NV-GS22 and capturing the DV with WinDV in Type2. When i open the .avis in Mediaplayer they are like tiny! I thought the native resolution for DV is 750x576 or something like that...my captures look more like 352x288 or something!!!

    What's happening?

  3. hmm, tried the Mainconcept DV codec (2.4.4) and it looks the same. I run XP Pro SP1, by the way...

    Tried WinDVD 6 to view the .avis and they look even worse, like stretched sideways...at least in WMP they have the right aspect, but are tiny!

    Also tried transferring using DVIO instead of WinDV and it looks the same!
    Help please

    Funny thing is the image captures using Scenalyzer are bigger than the videos!

    MediaPlayer's default settings are not kind to DV files. Do this to fix it.

    Open MediaPlayer.
    Select Tools->Options menu.
    Go to the Performance Tab, and click on the Advanced button.
    Move the slider for Digital Video across to the right (Large).
    Click on OK, then OK to get back to MediaPlayer.

    Load your video and watch it in full resolution.
