I am thinking about buying a "Lodos" player from Sainsbury's as a cheap second DVD player. However, the e-mail address for Lodos does not work, their business and equiries lines are not recognised numbers and nobody will pick the phone up on the office number. Their website does not give any details about their DVD players.
Does anyone know if this player will play:
- DVD-R
- DVD+R
- VCD
- SVCD
It does not have a model number, which makes it slightly difficult.
Thanks for any advice,
Cobra

all i found so far was this
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=223&Thread=302108
saying it doesn't play Divx (well duh...)
Edit:
Is it this machine? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3316&item=5713371002&rd=1 says it's only 2 channel.... -
That's the player I am looking at. That thread didn't mention compatibility with the formats I listed though.
Thanks for the info flan.

Just an update, this player plays everything I throw at it, bar DVD-RAM and MiniDVD. It's quite a nice player.
I will be submitting a review and information on it in the DVD Players section. There is no information available from Lodos on this player so I linked to their main site.
