I am making a backup copy of some of my dvd's as vcd's. I used smartripper to rip the dvd's onto my hd. The audio on the dvd's that I ripped is in ac3 format. I used dvd2avi before with no problem. But for some reason, on these dvd's when i run the vob files thru dvd2avi and have it convert the audio to wav (I always had that setting on) after it does a few minutes of the movie, I get an A.E.! in the info box. I googled it and on 2 different forums, it was speculated that it meant audio error. Is that what it means, or does it mean something else. If it does, in fact, mean audio error, I will have to re-rip them. I never got that before. It only started with these 8. Can someone please tell me what it means?

I tried using DVDDecrypter in the past and every dvd that i ripped the audio was out of sync or the video would play too fast. I never had a problem with smartripper. But what does the A.E.! in the info box in DVD2AVI mean?

consensus seems to suggest it's audio error. sure you selected the right audio stream?

I normally just have demux all set in the audio section, then convert using headache or besweet.
    If in doubt, Google it.
