I got several avi files and wished to view them in my puter using Media Player Classic.
The audio always advances ahead. Tried to convert them to mpeg using TMPGEne and had the following Warning TMPGEne message :

“Read error occurred at address 00012F40 of module ‘TMPGEne’ with xxxxxxxx.

Details of 2 of the avi files are as follows :
    592x320 23.976 XviD MPEG-4 Codec
    352x288 25fps 3iVx D4 4.5 Video Codec

Your help is much appreciated !

Oopse, I forgot to mention that I have checked for bad frames in the Avi by followed the instruction in “Fixing bad frames without losing any audio”, and VDub-MP3 discovered no broken frames. With VirtualDub an audio wav file was extracted from the avi. Now is the Read error at TMPGEne that prevents me from going any further in the asyn repair. Is there any advice from you clever guys/gals ?
