I have some mpeg2 files that I would like to take a still frame shot out of it and use it as a photo or background. Is there any way I can take just one frame and make it into a file? I would like to put it into iphoto if that makes a difference. iphoto not a must though.

Repeat after me:
1. Open the mpeg-2 (.m2v) in Quicktime Pro.
Find the part you want to make a still of...
2. Scale your QT window as big as possible,
or at least relative to the size you will
be making it a background.
3. go to versiontracker.com and get Capture Me!
4. Install and launch Capture Me!.
5. Place the window of Capture Me! Over the QT Window,
sizing to get all of your picture.
5. Click once in it to "capture".
6. From the Menu, select save,
save as .tiff, best quality.
Repeat as often as necessary.....
