    Have been succesfully making back ups on my Memorex Dualx-1dvd+/- R
    burner, using elby's CloneDVD.
    But this past week, when I tried to make 3 backups of three different DVDs using at first Memorex DVD+Rs, then Khypermedia DVD+R, CloneDVD said that it had successfuly written to the blanks, but when I went to play them back, they wouldn't play. After this happened with the
    Khypermedia blank I checked it with DVDinfopro, which said it appeared to still be blank.
    My question is what is going on? Is it my media? Do I nedd to uninstall/reinstall CloneDVD? Is it my burner? Or, I noticed that a program I downloaded has taken over the space on the "My Computer" display for my local disc. Could this be the reason why?

    Hello,
    Just a quick suggestion, did they finalize? I know it's obvious but that could be the problem. Also, check the disc itself. Is there any evidence it was burned at all? (you know when you look at it there is a slight color difference between the burnt and unburnt area?). Good luck

    Well go buy GOOD media and try that.

    KHypermedia is always CMC's bottom of the barrel disc.

    Memorex is sometimes RICOH but often CMC.

    Go get some known-good discs and see if they exhibit the same problem.

    Yoda-
    it did not appear that it had burned the movie(s), and, like I said, DVDinforpro said the same thing

    yoda, and gurm;
    tried another khypermedia blank. after CloneDVD said it the burn was successfull, I visually checked the disc. It did have a diiference once you got past the what would be the lead edge. But neither my Apex ad-1600, nor, my memorex dual x burner, would read it. Taking these back to Office Max, and, exchanging them more at least one cake box of Imation, a brand I have success with in the past, and, I see acording the posts in the media section here, others have had as well.
