  1. I have a movie, in avi format.
I have a folder for the subtitles, but so far I cant get any program to recognize the subtitles.

Is there a program i can use, that would make subtitles from the audio in the movie?

Yes, Virtual Secretary, V3.0 takes care of that. Make sure you set Secretary to output the subs in the correct format tho... .sup for Ifoedit, srt for AVI use.
You could also try putting the subs in the same directory as the AVI and give it the same name as the AVI (but with another extension). Direct VobSub (and many players) then takes care of the rest, if the subs are in some recognized format.
