    I've given DVDShrink 3.2 a go.
I used the Still Picture option in Compression to replace unwanted material.
I noted 2 things on playback that were a little ordinary.

    1. The default pic did not compensate for TV safe area thus some of the image was off screen. Is the only fix to recreate the still (or any other still) with a 50 pixel or so border ?

    2. The still picture still ran for the same length of time as the removed clip.
In CloneDVD2 the still only plays for half a sec then returns to menu. I presumed the new Shrink would do the same.
Is this just the way it has to stay ?

These obviously aren't earth shattering poblems, just curious as to what others thought.

    Thanks

It also has an option to insert a DVD Shrink logo screen inplace of the still pictures.

Yes, but that still image is bigger than a TV can show so needs to have a border added, and,
the still image runs for the same lenght of time as the clip that was removed.

#1. DVDShrink will resize the image to the original format be it 720x80 NTSC or 720x576 PAL

if you cannot see it on your TV then it's probably the TV and it's handling of that particlar aspect ratio

#2. yes the image still plays the original time. There is a simple hack I use to fix this but it's not for people who are not comfotable using Ifoedit

I would just insert a simple black image with very small but readable text saying 'Feature removed, please press Title Menu'. Keep it simple and the replacement won't be that large in size

  5. Hi all.

Macka, could you pm or email me your simple IfoEdit hack?
I'll try to make an animated/newbie-friendly guide.

Basically the DVD sets the player into output for a certain mode, and yeah sometimes that causes a little wonkiness with the still image. Oops!

I personally just made 2 seperate images at the sizes mentioned by MackemX, and use the appropriate as such. (Use my NTSC sized image for NTSC movies, use my PAL sized image for PAL movies.)
