  1. Hi,

OK I have several TV episodes which i'm converting to DVD (2x 45min episodes per 4.5gb disc) using the 2-pass VBR mode in DVD Studio Pro 3.

This works fine for this purpose, but now I have lots of single AVI files I would like to convert to DVD - so I don't need anything menus etc. What program would give me the best quality for this? I don't care about encoding times really, as I usually leave it processing overnight. Should I stick with DVDSP3, or would other programs give me better quality? If you recommend other programs - what quality settings etc should be used?

I hope you can help me out, I have lots of files I need to start converting and want to be sure i've got the best possible quality.

    Cheers,
    Nick

I like mpeg2works, select .avi choose export option as mpeg and then build your dvd with sizzle

toast also does a nice job with drag and drop .avi to dvd.

Actually, depending on the length of the .avis,
Compressor then to DVDSP would be fine.
However, take care that your videos are
"QT Compliant" meaning if you were to
open them in QT, that they play fine, without
the .avi showing white in the video
    or the audio dropping out.

    If none of this occurs,
then just drag and drop into Compressor
and let it batch the .avis.

I've done this, and it works well using 2VBR HQ encode
    setting in Compressor.
