    Hello,
That's NOTHING. How about Geordi wearing the ALTERNATE UNIVERSE uniform in TNG (the one where Tasha was brought back)?? Or I think there's supposed to be one where Picard only has 3 pips instead of 4.

    The list goes on!

Classic. And funny that that would be his argument on a show that defies the laws of physics every time they use their warp engines. They should all be greasy smears on the rear bulkhead, but instead they have the magic "Inertial Dampers"

    Hello,
Capmaster-show that defies the laws of physics every time they use their warp engines
    Party Pooper! :P :P :P :P

That's why it's called SCIENCE FICTION! And, the original series wasn't as scientifically accurate as it's next generation spinoffs were (I know they weren't perfect but at least they didn't use SOUND as a weapon in Space )

    Hello,

Capmaster- I'll top you one on the scientific accuracy bit: Go back on every episode you own and reedit them with NO SOUND on EVERY space shot. Then see how you like it when you play by real world rules for an entertainment show. It's called "artistic license".

    Kevin

P.S. Do the same to STAR WARS and see how well it works!

Easy does it yoda. I'm a huge ...HUGE ST fan (except maybe some Voyager and most Enterprise episodes). I'm not dissing ST. I just made the observation because of all the physics classes I've taken and had ingrained into my psyche. That's all. It doesn't take away anything from my enjoyment

To be honest we just don't know about warp drives. i would never rule them an impossibility, just a long way off yet. you of all people should know that many thought we could never manipulate a split atom, you really going to say we'll never manipulate a split quark?

    Hello,
Toolman - Sorry, my dads retired from Chrysler and he worked in marketing (besides, shipping would ruin any cost savings!)

Did you know Tim's Chevy from the show was sold on eBay for charity a while ago?
Is the show still on in the US? It's on every night here on the Disney Channel.

I heard he stopped making the show so the younger actors could go to college.

    Hello,
Toolman - the show is over, sadly. Though to be honest the third and fourth seasons were the best. After that it got a little repetitive. In fact in interviews later it seemed like Tim Allen was saying they were doing the same jokes over and over and he couldn't take it anymore.

I think it lasted 8 years, maybe 9. It had a great run and helped put a positive spin on Detroit. We don't get too much positive press. Though the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Pistons have put a good spin for sports for us .

Hey, did you know that we now have the Woodward Dream Cruise? It's a multi mile classic car show. Two lanes are dedicated on the route for classic cars. For a whole week before the show (next week as a matter of fact) they build up and people cruise like mad ---weather permitting.

In fact, people come from all over the world. Some have come from as far as Australia (I think some have brought there cars with them). It's a pretty good show.

    Kevin
P.S. Though it's now in its 10th year I think and some have complained about it being to commercialized now. But that's what happens to anything that does well, right?

Dear Master Yodad313 (I know what the "313" is now):
You think maybe you can post a picture of the cruise. I'm displaced Detroiter by birth and by choice. I volunteered to serve my country and am stationed in Europe at the moment. By the way, if you happen to pass by Grand River and Schoolcraft, give a sentimental wave out the window, as my Mom and Dad's house is right around the corner. Take care!

Here's a Michigan SALUTE! Thanks for the service, we appreciate it!

I'll do what I can for pictures. Actually it isn't until next weekend but I could start a new offtopic thread for you when it does.

I've probably been around where you mentioned, if not here's a sentimental wave for southeast Michigan in general .

Actually, the 313 has no significance in my nickname. It came from a year or two ago. I was signing up for any and all freebie websites. It got so out of hand I started doing numbers that sounded neat: 414, 515 and so on. I hit upon 313 and it seemed to stick!

Thanks for the pictures, and especially the sentiment and support. They take us farther than MREs or troop carriers ever could.

    Hello,

Tommyknocker- I'm glad you liked the pictures. The sentiments are real. That's what this country is based on (US). Without you guys (and gals) we wouldn't be here. From the first minuetmen to the current military we've been blessed to have the best in uniform protecting us. Thanks for everything!

Same here! Star Trek Enterprise Hurts, Hurts BIG! I wish it was more interesting. There's just no interplay between the characters. It's flat and dull. I NEVER thought I would say that about any STAR TREK. (well except for seasons 1-3 of both DS9 and VOYAGER, they both picked up later).

    Kevin
P.S. Brent Spiner is supposed to be in 3 Enterprise shows this year! He's playing Nooning Soon's GREAT GREAT GREAT Grandfather! (sorry, forgot how to spell DATA's dad's name!)

    Hello,

No sense in starting a new thread for this. Which TNG episode does this come from:

I can't remember. It's the one with the first cardassians (including Marc Alaimo playing a cardassian but NOT Gul Dukat). I know this is when Obriens old Captain goes looney chasing down ships he thinks are sneaking weapons (which probably were).

Anyway, anyone remember the name of the show? I know it was the third or fourth season.

    Another favorite quotes of mine:

Season three - eipsode "The Survivors"

Kevin Uxbridge is explaining to Picard why he, a dowd - a Q-like race, killed the Huksnock (sp?):

"No ...no ...no, you don't understand. I didn't just kill the Huksnock attacking the colony ....I killed all the Huksnock ....everywhere"

And the understatement of season three came at the end of the show when Picard was narrating and saying the Enterprise recommended to starfleet that this planet not be tampered with ...that "they be left alone".

    No shit.

    Ok here's a tuffy (maybe):

How many races of aliens (or non aliens) did Marc Alaimo play????
