    trying to convert mpeg to mpeg2 dvd format and get this error.

    what do this mean

    Is your original file video cd (VCD) MPEG-1? If so, this is already DVD compliant, no need to convert it.

    Whenever I have received this error I have usually run out of space on the hard drive (presumably tmpgenc?)

    This for me, as the poster above stated, is when I run out of room on one of my drives. Hope this helps.

    Make sure that the TMPGEnc's temp file drive also has enough space.
