  1. I am working on making a bunch of slideshows of pictures that I'm going to make into a dvd. I was wondering if there is a way that you can make a folder, either inside the audio_ts or video_ts folders or somewhere else, where I could put the original jpegs images that I used in my slideshow. Is there any way to put the jpegs on a dvd and still have a standard dvd player recognize it as a dvd?

yes, you can store data on a dvd-video. but not in the video_ts or audio_ts folder

  3. When I burn my projects using Ulead DVD Movie Factory it creates another folder in the root of the DVD to store the project information. So, I would assume you can create a folder MY_PICS and drop in a few JPEGS as a test and see what happens. I think it should be ok

Many of the authoring programs have a "save original images to disc" option. They're not accessible during play, but will be there for archival purposes.

  5. Thanks for the help. So I just burn a dvd with DATA, AUDIO_TS, and VIDEO_TS folders, with my jpegs in the DATA folder. Thanks again.
