  1. how do you find out how many dropped frames you have,,i used vstream pvr plus for capture,and sound is several seconds out of syn,,i'm capturing from home recorded vhs tape

    Normally you'll find this information as and when you capture.
    Virtualdub, for instance, will show the frames lost as they happen, and a total when you've finished.

    Consider buying a timebase corrector (TBC) if you plan on capturing regularly from tape. I captured for several months fighting the sync problems until I bought a TBC. Now bad sync is just an unpleasant memory
