I never really have backed-up any of my movies, don't have a big collection and well I really only watch them once and put them away. Now that my daughter is starting to watch Disney movies and other kid friendly movies I decided maybe I should back up her movies. The last trip we took she managed to lose two of them. The portable DVD is nice and a headache saver for the driver, me. So our next trip I backed up a few movies so she could use them instead of the originals and not cost dear old dad more money. The movies played fine on the way to our destination. On the way back one of the movies towards the end started having some blocks appear and the movie would pause. I played the dvd at the house (on a standalone), on the computer (using my burner and my rom drive) and I got the same effect, quite strange. I used DVD Decrypter to create an ISO image, no compression was necessary and burned to a Memorex DVD+R using a Plextor 708A. I don't think I did anything wrong. I am thinking it is the media, but I thought Memorex would be a good brand, don't really know though. Really just bought them because they were half off. I don't do this too often, but have read most of the guides and topics. So my conclusion is the media, any thoughts?

I would also suggest it is a media problem. If you have nero run a cd speed test and check for read errors. since it happens at end of disc it most likely is bad media. have you looked in the media section to the left and read comments on the discs you have?

I haven't checked the media comments, yet, but I will this evening. I just purchased Nero 6 Ultra and will run the CD speed test.
Thanks
