RITEK G04 -R 4x and Mustek V560 standalone Player

I use a NEC ND-2500A with 107v2b5dld firmware patch.
The problem is when I write Ritek G04 -R 4x at 8x speed
it reads OK on my DVD-burner and DVD-rom but on my standalone Mustek v560 player the brightness of the movie varies during playing.
DVD's burnt at 4x doesn't have that problem.
Any explanation?

Ritek G04s are not rated to burn at 8X. I would assume you are seeing that this is true for a good reason. If your question has to do with why they are readable in some readers and not in others it probably has to do with better error correction.

Did you check the PI/PO rating with your disc that cannot playback with your DVD player? I am assuming this is the drive problem. Because I was an NEC user at first.
