Hello. I have searched the forums but have not found a fix for the following. I have been converting vhs videos to cd/dvd and because I am a total newbie experimenting with different programs. The one I liked for burning was Nero 6 which I bought. However now I have the full suite, I have found a problem that I cannot overcome. When I capture the video, using Nero VE2 I have no audio. It will not capture or play back, I have the icon clicked that says "enable capture device audio playback" but all I get is a thumping noise through the speakers. I have checked all the settings and everything appears to be correct. But no audio.

However I captured a video using Ulead Movie Maker (trial) and and another using Windows Movie Maker had no problems playing it back in NeroExpress and burning a disk. What I would really like is to be able to removed the Ulead and just use Nero.

I thought there may be a conflict between the sound card and the program, but I have no problems with play back, only capture.

I wrote to Nero help line, whose only suggestion was to uninstall reinstall. Which I have done. But no fix.

I have also on another group found someone who is experiancing the same problem with no fix advice either.
Can anyone here assist me in this problem

AMD Athlon 2500 +
WinXP Home
WinFast 2000 XP PVR
Sound Max Digital Audio
