Some1 plz help. I am an avid burner of DVD's using nero. 3 days ago I noticed instead of the normal 4 minutes to burn a dvd it now takes over 15 minutes. I have tried many things and am now really stuck. It use to burn at 4x but will now only let me burn at 1x. I am using the same discs as always so I'm really stuck. Many thanx for some real help in anticipation. Ps, is it possible to update drivers for this.

Firstly, are you sure you were burning a full DVD at 4x as it would normally take around 15 minutes for this.
Secondly, if you were burning a full disc at 1x that would normally take around an hour so something doesn't add up.
Sounds to me maybe you're only filling around 25% of a disc i.e, about 1Gb of video/data.
As to why it's only burning at 1x, have you recently bought new discs and if so have you checked the rating ?
