Hi! I've been working on creating DVD's to combine the MPG VCD files of TV shows. I've been using TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress for any re-encoding and TMPG DVD Author 1.6 for making the DVD's. For a couple files when I load them into TMPG DVD Author, a 43 minute file is coming up between 6 seconds to 18 minutes. These files burn fine as VCD's and can easily be played showing the correct length in Windows Media Play and PowerDVD. I also tried loading these in TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress and had the same results. These files were downloaded, and all the ones I seem to have this issue with were made in 2001 (don't know if it helps). I thought perhaps this could be a codec problem so in TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress I went into Options/Preferences/Input-Plug-In to see if changing the DirectShow reader's priority would help, but it didn't. I also tried turning off DirectShow but that didn't help. (I messed with DirectShow since when I converted xvid files, making it first stopped the created file from being too long).
I have to admit I'm stumped. I'd appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer.
