    Hi....I'm new to capturing. All I would like to know is what program(s) I need to use to capture from vhs to avi or mpg format. Thanks!

    Why don't you start with the HOW TO on Capture. (left hand margin, green section, the one that says VHS) and then read the HOW TO on CONVERT.
