  4. Y'know what? I hadta try it. Got it installed (2180RTM) right now. So far, everything I've tested is working and there's been no crashes yet (knocking on wood). Exact download was 272.4MB and took ~22 minutes on my 1.5Mb DSL. Flying in at a steady 185KB/s. And I made good use of my burner and did a full backup to a ˝ dozen +RW's beforehand.

  5. I read they will start sending it out via autoupdate in a week or two. I think I'll image my system and try it out, if it's wack I'll restore my image....

BTW, histroy has shown, all M$ SP2's have been wack with an SP3 soon to follow....

I agree with you, but as I stated, this is a test computer.

It is an Old Compaq 7000US

I installed it, no major problems, I turned off all the extra security features and disabled the security center.

I haven't noticed any broken applications. Been able to get on and work with P2P Programs.

There is one bug, my internet connection fails when I wake up from hibernation. There is a simple workaround, pull the card out and put it back in.
