    Morning,

Sorry, at present the only way to do this without a PC would be to use a very expensive broadcast graphics mixer unit. However, if you have a PC with a DVD writer then you can do it inexpensively.

The method I have used to do this is to record at the highest possible quality onto a re-writable disk (RAM/+RW/-RW depending on your flavour of recorder) then rip it onto your PC

Then get a copy of VIRTUALDUBMOD (this version opens mpeg files) and the delogo filter. then re-encode (see the guide on how to do this in detail) using tmpgenc or CCE (tmpgenc is cheaper - 30 days is free with no watermarking). The only downside is that most logos still leave behind a blurry section where the video has been "repaired". Some logos can be removed using what is called alpha blending but these are normally only the semi-transparant logos/captions.

The resulting mpeg file can then be authored onto DVD using DVDLAB or your own flavour of DVD authoring package.

I realise this is quite a 'techy' answer but it will hopefully point you in the right direction.

    Cheers

    Edz

    Hello,

I don't have a standalond dvd recorder but most of the time ANY dvd/cd needs to be finalized to be read on another player. Is this part of the problem?

I thought all dvd-r/rw(?) media had to be finalized before it is possible to play it...

Could also be that you need som third party software to be able to play the files from your recorder...

    I don't have a dvd recorder either so I'm not 100% sure...

Actually, I think if you have the same udf info you might be able to read it (ie if both pcs have roxio/pinnacle/whatever they can read the unfinished disc??? --not 100% sure---)

  8. Don't know why it would have only recorded 75 minutes, unless there was something else on the disc, or you used the ITR and didn't set it long enough. The discs have to be finalized to play in players. Hit the set up button on the remote, go to utility, then finalize. That will make the disc playable in players.
