i was wondering if anyone owns this player while using Mac .. Toast doesn't seem to be able to burn working divx subtitles for the DVP642 .. i've tried numerous combinations but they all come out on the DVP642 Menu as "?" .. however .. the subs come out fine when using Nero and its basic ISO Settings (ISO Level 1/Mode 1/9600/Joliet) ..
there must be some little glitch with Toast's ISO Settings ..
but has anyone been able to burn working subs on Toast ? ..![]()

*bumps*
there's gotta be at least one person in the Mac Forum w/ a Philips DVP642 .. -
It's been such a long time since the last post in this thread that things could've changed since then. I was debating buying this player but having 100s of subtitled movies burned to DVDs in Toast seems like a deal breaker for me. Anything new about Mac/Toast compatibility? Any other player on the market that could do the job?

Perhaps theres some insight on the divx.com web site regarding this DivX certified player. I own it but never use its subtitles option. I recall there being some insight into getting working subtitles in the owners manual.
