Ignoring the MD5, try this method. https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=522#522
There are many other ways. That's why there are 'Guides' to the left. -
lolol
I had to laugh when I saw this post out there.
It had "Kick Me!" written all over it.
You took the high road Red... but not me… lol... I'll be gentle.
Ever, we're having a little fun at your expense, because no one should post a message that says "Never done this before, please help". With all the great guides on this site (per Red), everyone should at least browsed them, and try something, anything before "crying uncle".
Again, this is all in fun…
ya'll come back now; we love to help. -
The files I have 9x, each containing from 400mb to 600mb...How do I fit them onto a cdr. do I need 4cdr's? I simply want them on a DVD-R.
I have searched through the guides many times (hours reading). You don't think it maybe a good idea to just simply post and have someone kind help you?

If your not willing to help then don't post. I'd rather have zero than some "foo" tell me; "I had to laugh when I saw this post out there". Then proceeding to take the piss.
Anywayz, thx for the help and the piss take. Have another laugh on me.

It appears some people get a kick out of taking the mickey rather than trying to help. Don't know why, but I think it's sad.

Yes. I got help on a similar problem, thought I'd try same method. Dragged the 9 mpeg-1 files into TMPGenc DVD Author.
It did the job for me perfectly.
Thank you.

Member since Feb 2002….. how did I miss that? Boy! Do I have egg all over my face?!
Let me take my foot out of my mouth, so I can apologize properly.
No excuses, but let me explain.
I had just come from reading some Newbie information.
One of the recommendations was to not post a request worded like yours.
You came across as a total newbie that had just walked in off the street.
I quite literally “had to laugh”, because that’s where my head was at that moment.
Of course, if I had noticed how long you’ve been a member of this site, I would have know immediately that you’ve put in as much time reading through the guides and post, as anyone else has.
So I can’t apologize enough. You put me in my place, and rightly so.
While I’m at it, I want to apologize to anyone else that had to sit thorough my lapse in character.
I’ve always tried to live by the motto “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all” quote: Thumpers Dad”
Looks like I need to get back to my roots.
I’m even more sorry about not providing the information to help you accomplish your goal, especially since you came across the same solution I would have recommended.
I’ve got over 100GBs of MPG1 files waiting to be put on DVDs (5 & 9), and TMPEG DVD Author is the only program I know of that doesn’t try to re-encode the files to MPEG2 compliance.
As long as the audio is DVD compliant (48khz), it will accept it without re-encoding the video..
If your MPEG1 files have audio encoded at 44khz (you didn’t say), you can use "svcd2dvdmpg", to up sample the audio in batch mode. It will take all the files in a source directory, demux them, up sample the audio to 48khz, and will then re-mux the files, and they will now go into DVD Author without complaints, or recoding.
And if DVD Author should complain about: “video sequencing errors” take a look at "MPEGSequenceMaker" for mpeg1 files and "ReStream" for MPEG2 files.
Good luck with you endeavors.
Hope I’ve been able to redeem myself in some small fashion.
G’day all. -

Drop them into TDA and it will reencode the audio and MAKE the mpg files compliant. As for being a first time DVD author, I was visiting these forums for a few years before I burned my first DVD (I was used to VCD\SVCD). I didn't know a thing about DVD authoring. Read the guides... some of them do help. :P

Hi Ibme. No problem at all. I was working on the file and was a little P'd off.
I'd also like to oppologize. Nothing wrong with a laugh, just wasn't in a good mood at the time I read your post.damn thing was driving me nuts!
Thank you for the help, I actually used that link; "svcd2dvdmpg" and downloaded it and find it very useful.
I now have the created DVD (using DVD-Lab) I have the DVD playing ok all for the sound, its like the sound is just a litlle infront of the video.
Any suggestions?

@TheEverLiving:
You might be advised not to take things so literally or to heart in the future. If you're gonna react this way over a gentle barb I can't wait to see how you handle a flame war.
If you're pissed off, walk away. Either that or give the forum your full attentions, no questions asked. If in doubt, Google it. -
You might try to demux the dvd in womble mpegvcr. Then multiplex it and use the option to adjust audio sync.. There is a trial version you can download. As long as the audio is off the same ammount throughout the mpeg and dosen't get worse the longer it plays then this should work.
Good luck.Donadagohvi (Cherokee for "Until we meet again")
