Hey guys, is anyone familiar with a program that will let you record you gaming? I have tried Fraps, Game Cam, Game Cam Lite, and a few others. I liked Fraps but for a 60 second video of Doom 3 at 800x640(?) the video produced was well over 250MB.I was thinking about using Windows Movie Maker to convert to WMV, would I see a big loss in quality? Thanks for any suggestions.

What format did your video record in? Did you compress it enough. Try reencoding to Xvid using virtualdub.

It records directly to AVI, the only options I have are how good the quality is.
Also, when I go to convert the movie using Windows Movie Maker the FPS from Fraps magically appears. I think I will have to find a new program, but in the last few hours you can add ACA Capture Pro, SnagIt, and Camtasia to the list of failures.
