Hi,
I have created 4 new templates in TMPGEnc for testing purposes. The only settings that are different between the four are the "Rate control mode" and noise reduction filter. To be specific, I set up CQ with and without noise reduction, and VBR with with and without noise reduction. All other setting mirror LordSmurf's conversion guide for mpeg-2.
My problem is this. When I load one of these templates the noise reduction filter is never turned on. For example, if I am using CQ without noise reduction, then load VBR with noise reduction, then view the settings for VBR with noise reduction, the option for noise reduction is unchecked! No matter what I do I can't get the program to recognize noise reduction as the default setting for a particular template. It always loads the template without the box checked.
Is anyone else experiencing this or does the template simply not record whether or not noise reduction should be turned on? And, yes, if it matters, I have loaded unlock.mcf.
Thanks.
