Why are there so many different forums? Why for instance is there a 'Newbie/General discussion' forum and also a 'Newbie Conversion' forum. Could they not be consolidated?
Whilst I enjoy browsing, I sometimes do not have the inclination to visit every forum, and it would be less intimidating for the newbie.

Each of those 'newbie' forums have over 20,000 threads. Combining them would make it much harder to find what you are looking for. I generally only go to 'latest posts' and rarely browse individual forums.

Thanks redwudz - I should have known there was a logical reason.

the newbie/general forum is more for just general inquiries about video stuff. the newbie conversion forum is for simple conversion, such as avi to dvd and svcd and that kind of thing.
