    Leadtek PCI TV/FM Tuner Card, REMOTE, Model "WinFast TV2000 XP Expert" -RETAIL



    This card seems pretty good. Do you guys think this is a good buy. $51.00. I plan to do some college game recording with it.

    I had the card and found it good for capturing from video in but using the tuner i found interference that wouldnt go away even with a ground isolater on the cable.Same problem when i installed it on my dads computer.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

    I have one of them and for the money you can't go wrong. As for Johns0 problem with interference I can't comment because TV reception is bad in any case where I live and there was no cable near the comp to test that. VHS capture via composite and s-video was sufficient.

    I would use this card for recording shows for later viewing, capturing footage that wasn't that important or if your on a tight budget. I wouldn't suggest it for converting home movies because there are better capture cards on the market if you have the money to spend.

    Not a bad card for the $ BUT bear in mind that it is a software encoder not hardware. Was mostly useless on my amd 1.2 mhz sys, passable but not great on intel 2.4 mhz

    Lacking a tv-tuner or any type scheduler but with excellent hardware encoding you might want to also look at the ADS DvdExpress which if found on sale can be had for $49-us after rebates http://www.adstech.com
