  1. I'm not sure where to put this because this isn't a standard movie DVD. It uses a HTML/Flash to launch high quality quicktime movies and i'm looking for a way to reduce the quality of the movies alone, or the DVD as a whole. Preferably i want to rip the DVD as a whole, but if i have to eliminate the HTML and just rip the .mov files that would be ok. Right now the DVD is a .iso image and mounted via D-tools. I'm a newbie so go easy on me

I have tried using the latest version of DVD Shrink and got a couple errors depending on what i tried

If i point DVD Shrink to the virtual D-tools drive i got: Failed to open "K:\VIDEO_TS.IFO"

If i point DVD Shrink to the DVD .iso i get: Invalid UDF filesystem

    BTW I'm using XP Pro...

  2. err... this is a data disc, not a "movie" DVD... I think you can simply extract the files by exploring the disc. Have you tried ISOBuster?

Hmmm, yeah i can extract the files but how can i reduce the quality of the .mov files? I guess i could just copy the DVD to my HD, replace the high quality movies with low quality ones and burn it... I just don't know of the best free or demo software to do it.

I'm trying River Past Video Cleaner now but depending on the codecs i chose, sometimes it will start converting and then just quit. I'm converting one of the videos to divx now, but the file name is .divx. Is there a way to convert it using a divx codec, but a .avi format like normal divx encoded movies? Also what are the best options to maintain quality if i want to reduce the file size down to 30-40% of the origional?
