  1. Hello everyone:
    I've managed to rip dvd files, however there on another computer, which is networked but, the only burner I have @ this location is my cdr burner. Is there anyway I can burn the vob files...all have been shrunk, there 1048mb in size I believe I want to burn them to a cdr and use them with my dvd burner later, the question is, is there any way I can cut a vob file?

  2. So you want to cut your VIDEO_TS folder into 700mb chunks for transportation to another computer? You need WinRAR, and about 7 CD-Rs for a full DVD.

    You should be able to make zip or rar files from them that will fit on a cd (with file splitting) and put them back together again to use with your burner

    edit beat me by that much

    Try the excellent FREE file splitter HJSPLIT:

    http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#win32

    This can split files (of any type) into smaller chunks. It can then reassemble them on another PC.

    Cheers,

    Just because you're nobody, doesn't mean that you're no good. Just because there's a reason, doesn't mean it's understood. It doesn't make it all right ! (The Specials)

  6. Winrar instructions:

    Right click on VIDEO_TS folder, select add to archive.
    When the winrar window appears select:

    Compression Method: Store
    Split to Volumes: 700m - CD-700M or 734,003,200 bytes (depending on your version)

    And away you go... 8)

    Highlight the directory with the files in it, click the Add button (1) and where it says Split to volumes (2) enter 734,003,200 or use this formula:

    bytes = megabytes x 1048576
