  1. I have looked around and havent found any way to do this. Basically I want to change an audio track in addition to whats on the DVD. To be more specific, heres exacly what I want to do:

I want to make a version of the wizard of oz where it plays the regular audio, but if you press the audio button on the romote instead of going to spanish (or whatever the second audio is) it will play the Dark side of the moon by Pink Floyd, but preserving all the menus and everything else. I have the audio and movie in all kinds of formats.

Has anyone attempted something like this or know how to do this?
(I have searched with no luck thus far)

  2. yup i've done something like that, my own dark side of oz disc.
except i didn't keep the original oz menus. i made my own, slightly more psychedelic menus

i'm not sure how to do it and preserve the original menus but these tools might let you slip in your own audio

    DvdReMake
    DVD Rebuilder

if you want to know how to make a dark side of oz disc lemme know. i know where to cut the album into the movie and how to author

The easiest way would be to use a professional dvd authoring program like encore dvd, or dvdlab pro. Then just put both audio tracks onto one movie and then you can use the remote control to switch on the fly. Other then that you would have to have two separate movies with each having its own audio. Then you can link a menu control to what movie you want. Dvdlab can do that as can most authoring programs.

Did you use those 2 programs to do this? and did you do as i mentioned and keep the original audio also? I have done something like this in the past before and made a killer VCD of the Oz and made my own cover art... ill post a link to it if youd like. I want to go all out this time and possibly add a third audio that is the entire pink floyd cd in tecno remix.

  5. no i dnever used those progs. i read up on them a while ago.
i use DVD architect 2.0 it lets you use multiple audio tracks on one dvd.
i ripped the vobs from the original oz, ripped the dark side of the moon album. made one long track from the album in sound forge, resampled to 48 Khz
demuxed the audio from the oz.
converted the oz audio to wav.
frameserved the vobs into vegas 5.0
put the floyd track into the timeline, looked up the start position on some website i don't remember.
move the audio to the correct start point.
cut the end off the video so the vid and audio end at the same time (the movie is longer than the album)
remove the audio track from vegas and render the resulting video to mpeg2.
the original audio was discarded but you can retain it if you want.
ui then used dvd architect 2.0 to author with my own menus.

it would be kinda cool to keep all of the original menus but substitute the spanish or french track with floyd. that way the kids would never know that there was a hidden track on the movie.
i'm not quite sure how to do that part

  6. Im going to try some stuff out in the next couple of days using those programs... then post either a new topic or a reply to this one... maybe when were done we can exchange what we have. I also have some dvd cover art I made, and Im thinking of redoing it a little, I was thinking of making it more 'psychedelic' as you put. mainly making the sky darker or purple or something... dunno.

anyways heres a link to my cover art
