I've had a Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB 8x AGP card in my system for some time. I also have two identical 19" CRTs on my desk with a combined resolution of 2560x1024 (1280x1024 side by side). For the most part I've never had any problems with this setup. Starting with the drivers released maybe 3 months ago Hydravision would list monitors 1 through 4 whenever I wanted to relocate a window vs the monitor 1 and monitor 2 I used to get. What's worse is that if I choose the wrong monitor number (I think 1 and 3 work) OR if I minimize the window, sometimes it will completely lock up whetever application is running in that window and I'll have to kill that task. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, how was it remedied. I've had this problem with all of the last 3 Radeon driver revisions with the same results. I'm always able to uninstall the new drivers and reinstall the old ones to get things back to normal, but I'd hate to be left behind with old drivers when new improvements come out.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  2. I had similar problems with my AIW 9000 Pro. I used to update to the new drivers everytime they came out. I finally, started getting wierd reoccuring problems at random times, this also started about 6 months ago. I finally gave up and plugged in what worked best for my setup and now only watch others do the constant upgrades... I know that doesn't help you though

At least it's good to know that it's not just me.
