Hello
Is it possible to move iMovie and iDVD files? Imn talking about the entire project folder, media, mov, and the * file.
I did this once a long time ago I think with iDVD and then my mac lost the reference to the project.
I have a new HD and want to put all that stuff there.
thanks rotut

I would imagine you can just move those folders to the new positions.
they are stored in the Movie folder and are usually noted with a particular icon
have not tried it myself, but i dont see why it wouldnt -
I've never had any problems. Move the folder to the new disk and then double click the project file in the new location. If you are worried do an option-drag to the new disk to make a copy. When the new movie starts up, just drag the old folder to the trash.

iMovie project folders can be copied to anywhere you like as long as the target volume is formatted as _HFS+_. I repeat: iMovie projects must be on HFS+ volumes because otherwise they won't save properly. Corrupting iMovie projects by saving them on PC/UNIX-formatted FireWire disks is a FAQ on Apple's iMovie discussion board.
iDVD allows you to save the whole project as an archive but I haven't fiddled with this option a lot.
