  1. OK, I know it's not possible-or that's what I've always understood anyway, but I received a disc from someone that has two films on it, one in NTSC and the other in PAL.

The person I've got it from doesn't know anything about it, as he just copied the disc for me, but I'm intregued now...it is possible somehow..this could save me hours of re-encoding if I could find out how..

    Anyone got any ideas???

    Hello,
Well a pc dvd-rom should read any format on a disc. Have you tried it in a standalone dvd player? If so does it play both formats? It's interesting but if you want it one or the other don't you STILL have to convert it??

It is possible to create with for example dvdauthor, gui for dvdauthor or use dvdpatcher so you can import the video in any authoring tool and after you authored change back the settings. It is best to store pal and ntsc in different vts/tracks(separate vob files). It wont be dvd compliant but it will work on many dvd players.

  4. If you use my GUI for dvdauthor, make sure to set the option 'Use Titlesets'. Otherwise it won't work...
