Which program to make an .img/.iso?

I have Ultra ISO which allows me to create .iso (image) of my backed up dvd so I can burn onto a dvd-r (using dvd decryptor), however, I tried using a different burning program and it was unable to produce the proper finalized product when finished. It would say there is no data on the disc or 'please insert disc' when trying to view.

Is there a better .img/.iso tool creator that would allow me to use ANY burning program without any problems?
