Hi All,
I;ve tried two copies and both produce the same result: play fine but time/chapter display hangs when I let it run through the layer break...needless to say that my original plays fine
Now..I used DVDecrypter to rip and ISO and the used Nero to burn it. I've got a few questions that I could not find answers for:
1) Does the data for the DVD always start at the very beginning of Layer 1? I know that Layer 2 may get padded so the laser can focus correctly but is it possible to pad the beginning of Layer one so that the amount of data on both layers is roughly equal? This would obviously create a problem for the method I used.
2) Would it be better to rip to vob/ifo files and then let Nero decide how to write the data
3) The two movies I tried had the layer break inbetween chapters. I assume that it does not HAVE to be like that...ie it could be in the middle of a chapter.
Thanks,
Stefan
