Ok, I'm unsure whether to put this in the DVD Writer forum or the conversion Forum or the PC Writer forum as it involves all of the afore mentioned.

Anyway I'm having a SEVERE problem and I need your help so I can fix this without loosing my mind, I *THINK* it's overscan but I'm not sure.

Here's what's wrong:

I'll record a video off of the TV onto my Set-Top DVD Writer, a Pany DMR-HS2 in SP Mode. After Said DVD is Finalized I'll rip it to my PC and edit it by Frameserving t TMPGEnc+ with VDub. I'll multiplex the vidoe, commercials clipped, and burn a "new" DVD without the bothersome adds and with a nice professional look (Scene changes etc., etc.) rather than the Proccessed for commericals design. Now here's where I hit said problem:

The Video on the TV shows all watermarks in a "Static" area, for instance the Ratings watermark (E.g. TVY7FV) is always in the same corner of the screen, the CC Mark is always in the same corner and the ABC Station logo is always in the same spot as well. Now after PC editing, the Ratings watermark is touching the TOP of my TV, and the ABC watermark is LARGER and is nearly touching the BOTTOM of my TV and I'm loosing a LOT of picture!

This doesn't happen with a PROFESSIONAL/STOREBOUGHT DVD which looks very similar from PC to TV and it doesn't happewn with stuff burned on the Pany HS2. - It ONLY Happens when I bring the PC into the equation here.

I have tried EVERYTHING from resizing the video from the Panny's 704x480 to the "Standard" Fullscreen 720x480, keeping the video at SP Modes 704x480 to using different AR settings. I can NOT avoid this it sems and it's MULTIPLE TV's!

So here's my question? What am I doing wrong!? Is this overscan and is there a wayt o compensate for it? Is thier a way to compensate without letterboxing it? Why does the TV show said video "Correctly" when the Panny Records it but NOT when the PC Records it? IS there an AR Setting I should try that'll fix this problem.

I'm using a Sony KV27FS13 as my main set an NEC Multi-Sync Monitor and an Apple LCD (Two differnt COmputers) and ONLY the TV shows the problem, it also ocurs on Toshiba and avrious other brands of TV.

Does using VDub or PowerDVD Somehow "Hide" Overscanning from the TV recording or am I jsut not setting TMPGEnc+ properly to have a TV Output that's the same as my DVD from TV Source?

Any help is appreciated, I'd liekot AVOID leterboxing -- espeicaly if I'm just a putz with the AR settings, such as Keep AR and Keep AR 2, if anyone knwos how to get the video to come out the way it does on my Panny DMR-HS2 but throughmyu PC, please HELP ME!

Thanks in advance everyone,
Cyrax9

PS This could all be avoided if Disney would stop being stupid and start puting their TV Shows on DVD's, UNEDITED DVD's and not the few disasters they've managed ot crank out. I'm glad Anime Distributor's such as BEI and companies like Paramount Pictures can do season sets without botching them a la Disney/BVS. I swear, I'm willing to pay them if they'd just pump the daern things out! (I want to have video that doesn't look horrendous and with Disney not releasing DVD's I have to edit it myself.)
