Is there a maximum burn speed when burning VCDs?

Recently purchased some 10X CDRWs. My DVD player cannot read the disk and says "No Disk" and opens the tray. I've used 4X CDRWs of the same brand on the same DVD player without problems.

Using Nero 5.5 with a Plextor drive.

Anybody else have problems with these 10X cds?

No problems with 10x CD-RW or 12xCD-R, even if I use Nero.
    Plextor PX-W1210A.

    Thanks Truman.

We've got the same burner. Burn process went just fine. It must be my goofy DVD player. It's an older JVC model.

Sadly, a lot of it has to do with the type of CD-R/CD-RW you are using. Take a peek at:

    http://www.redrobe.com/dvd/vcd.php

Just as an example. Essentially, you try to find a brand that works with your player and then stick with it. The speed of the burn is limited only by the rating of your CD-R (and your burner, of course).
