Dear all - ages back there was a thread discussing the fact that the Mainconcept MPEG encoder doesn't seem to handle 16:9 stuff properly, and in this thread was a set of instructions telling how to work out the correct settings for the crop and scale section of the encoder so that the output isn't "thin" - ie the resulting film, once on a dvd, will have the correct ratio whether it's being viewed on a 4:3 or a 16:9 tv.
I had the information in a file, but a rather spectacular hard drive failure caused its loss.
I've had a search on here in the forum but can no longer find this information.
Any of you guys got the information to hand, please?
