I've got a Ricoh 2.4x DVD+ burner. I've been using Bulkpaq 2.4x discs until now but supplies seem to have dried up. Can I use higher speed discs to write with? For example should a 4x write at 2.4x? The reason I ask is because initially I used Bulkpaq 4x but ended up with a lot of coasters. When I switched to 2.4x, everything was fine. Obviously I don't want to waste any discs this time. Should I try another brand?
Thanks.

My Sony likes Verbatim Datalife 1-4x at 2x.

I have Maxell DVD+R disc that support 1-4x burning. It has the warning on the back indicate that you need to upgrade the hardware(i guess your burner) if your burner is 2.4x if not it will result in writing error. Then it give you this address to upgrade www.dvdrwservices.com
