I have converted a dvd to vcd using Easyvcd and when it is complete I can play the disc in one dvd player which is a cheap brand, apex and it works great. When I play it on a sony dvd player it does not work. When I burn a home video to vcd it works on both. Does anyone have any insight to this. It was suggested to check the dvd player section but unable to locate anything. Thanks All.

how do you author and burn the homevideo? what tools? you could try output as mpg in easyvcd(if possible) and author with same tools as the homevideo.

Try the Xvcd mode instead. I've heard this can work on 'Top Brand' DVD players (although non-compliant) where normal vcd mode can fail using EasyVcd. Worth a try anyway.
